Heather Trommer-Beardslee, MFA, MA,  is the Coordinator of the Central Michigan University Dance Program, Artistic Director of the University Theatre Dance Company, and author of a textbook and journal articles.   Heather’s dance works have been performed nationally and internationally and her choreography was featured in Eric Limarenko’s films, Waiting in the Rain and Slipping By. Current choreography projects include jazz and tap dance for a performance in Nagoya, Japan with the Mishiro Dance Company, interdisciplinary projects bridging the gap between biology and the performing arts, and an educational opera based on the anatomy of the human vocal folds. For ten years, she worked for the Emmy-Award winning, Chicago-based dance company, Jump Rhythm Jazz Project as their Booking Manager and Executive Director.  www.trommerbeardslee.com

DETI is Going Virtual!

Our annual Dance Educator's Training Institute (DETI) is scheduled to take place August 17-19, 2020.

This year, we've decided to take DETI online, due to COVID-19.

While we are saddened not to be able to hold DETI in person, we are excited to welcome people from around the world, who might not otherwise be able to join us! We will have more information about DETI Online in the coming days.
