At the core of Clancy’s work is what we call architectural partnering.  We define this as the choreographic use of dancers as architectural elements (doorways, walls, windows) in order to provide physical scaffolding that creates a philosophical metaphor to choreographically explore the building of human relationships.  Portals may be seen as the sequel to Jean-Paul Sartre’s No Exit; however, in this version, the dancer find a way out of hell by looking for the doors of opportunity, searching for those people would like to accompany us as we pass through those doorways.

Dance Educator's Training Institute

DETI is Going Virtual!

Our annual Dance Educator's Training Institute (DETI) is scheduled to take place August 17-19, 2020.

This year, we've decided to take DETI online, due to COVID-19.

While we are saddened not to be able to hold DETI in person, we are excited to welcome people from around the world, who might not otherwise be able to join us! We will have more information about DETI Online in the coming days.
