Courses: Pedagogy of Improvisation, Choreography, Epistemology of the Body in the classroom
Nina Martin’s works for the stage blend fixed and improvised choreography with text, narrative, film/video, and set design. She has taught and performed internationally in Europe, Asia and South America as well as nationally. Nina is has traveled far and wide teaching the forms of Ensemble Thinking, Articulating the Solo Body, and Contact Improvisation. She has been on the faculty of Mills College, UCLA and New York University. As an Associate Artist of Lower Left Nina directs dance laboratories and residencies in Marfa, Texas. www.lowerleft.org
