Adrienne Clancy (Silver Spring, MD)

Training Institute Faculty/ Mentor for participants throughout the year/Director of the Professional Development Program.

Adrienne Clancy builds on 18 years of professional dance and choreographic experience. Adrienne was a member of the Bella Lewitzky Dance Company (appearing in over 50 performances and working directly with Bella Lewitzky as an arts educator) and the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, where she held leadership roles as Rehearsal Director, Community Arts Project Director, and a lead performer. She has danced with many other choreographers including Nora Reynolds-Daniel, Bill Evans, Maida Withers, Doug Hamby and Victoria Marks. Adrienne has been a guest artist for numerous schools across the country. Over the past few years Adrienne has directed many Community Arts Projects that have culminated in both Site Specific Events and formal Concert Performance Events. In addition to directing ClancyWorks and teaching dance at George Mason University, Adrienne serves on the Executive Committee for Alternate ROOTS and is currently pursuing a PhD in Dance from Texas Woman’s University.
